Daredevil: Born again is one of the most anticipated television series of this year, continuing the grainy story of the original Netflix.
Matt Murdock will once again put on the emblematic costume as he takes a new threat – although his former enemy, Wilson Fisk, is still in the photo. If the previous actions of The Kingpin are something to pass, its new role cannot be good news.
This MCU series is fast approaching. If you want to prepare, here is your ultimate watch guide for television series and the most important films to watch in this universe. We also have a correct order list to watch the MCU.
What series and Marvel movies should I watch to understand Daredevil: Born again?
The two key characters in this program are Matt Murdock / Daredevil and Wilson Fisk / Kingpin. Consequently, Marvel shows and films in which these two characters appear will be useful for the scripts which are referenced:
- Daredevil Seasons 1-2 (2015/2016)
- The Defenders (2017)
- Daredevil season 3 (2018)
- Punisher Seasons 1-2 (2017/2019)
- Hawkeye (2021)
- Spider-Man: No way way home-first 10 minutes, video linked below (2021)
- She -hulk episodes 8 and 9 – 2022
- Echo – 2024
This is a lot of content, so decompos that into an important list.
The original Daredevil series (seasons 1 to 3) is, by far, the most important thing on this list. It tells the original story of the vigilante and traces the rise of Fisk in Hell's Kitchen and beyond.
He also presents both Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, the two partners of the Matt law firm – This was confirmed by Set Photos. Born again is not a restart of this Netflix emission, it is a continuation. Essentially, season four.
Marvel 2024 / Giovanni Rufino
Daredevil is also widely considered one of the best Marvel properties of all time, so you will not regret taking the time to look at it.
The rest of this list is not as imperative for new viewers. However, they include appearances of distribution members and include plots that can be referenced in the series, although their importance is not clear before its diffusion.
The defenders bind Matt's story between the 2 and 3 seasons from Daredevil, but you can get by reading a summary of the plot of this if you lack time. Daredevil season 3 is placed after that in the list for this reason – the last season present Dex / Bullseye, which will also appear in Born again.
Punisher makes the list because Frank Castle was confirmed by appearing in the series. However, we have no idea of the relevance of his bow in the new show. Its original story is also detailed in season 2 of Daredevil, so you shouldn't miss too much if you don't look at that.
Wilson Fisk is Hawkeye's villain, now underground. It only appears physically in episodes 5 and 6, and it is quite different from what you will see in the Netflix series. However, if you want to have an idea of its decreasing beginnings and you plan to watch Echo is worth your time.
Most Spider-Man: is no way of return to this film, but the first 10 minutes show an appearance of Matt Murdock, which is hired as a lawyer for Peter. Sony has the scene published for free on Youtube, you can see it below (the entrance to Matt is Hornodomagie):
It should be noted that due to the end of this film, Matt should not remember who is Peter. That said, it is included in this list because Wilson Fisk was originally a spider-man villain in the comics. Consequently, there are speculations according to which Daredevil: Born will again launch the bases of Spider-Man 4, which is in development.
Matt also appears in episode 8 (and some 9) of She-Hulk, in his daring costume. The showrunner Dario Scardapane has already confirmed that these events will not be referenced in Born again, but you can always give it a watch if you want to be caught.
The echo is probably more required than some of the above elements. Fisk is strongly appeared in this show, like “Uncle” by Maya. He manipulates it and isolates it, as he did with Dex in season 3 of Daredevil. We do not know how much, or if necessary, Maya will be discussed in Born again – but the show is a decent exploration of which is Fisk.
If you do not have time to engage in all Echo, look at the final post -key scene – this directly puts the trajectory that Fisk will take again.
As a bonus, you can also watch Ms. Marvel, because Kamala Khan's father, Yusuf, should appear in the series. However, it is doubtful that your experience of viewing daring renewal is affected if you jump it.
