A new version of WhatsApp was published on February 25, providing the application to the beta 2.25.5.8 version. The new version was supposed to make improvements, but some testers have struggled with a number of different problems since installation.

Shortly after, Meta published a new update (version 2.25.5.16) to correct the bug. Even if it means that media downloads work again, the update has reintroduced other problems and prevents the sending of stickers, GIF or Emojis. Wabetainfo also wrote a tweet about this.
What should users do?

You will need to avoid the two new updates or go to the live version of WhatsApp. Fortunately, there is a Google explanator on how to do the theme of assistance to “leave the beta program of an application”.
If you can't do it, you can rather reset WhatsApp to an old version. First, create a backup of your cats and contacts, then uninstall WhatsApp. You can then download a previous version without problem via a site such as Apk Mirror.
Otherwise, your only option is to sit down and wait for another update, that Meta will be hopeful, the next hours. At least, the developers seem to be aware of the problem because they have already been able to deliver a quick bug correction for the first update.
