The main advantage offered by Wi-Fi connectivity against traditional cable is mobility. If we work with a laptop at home and you need to move to another room where there is no network cable, this is the best option.
The installation of a network cable throughout the house or for offices has an associated cost which cannot always be profitable because it is not exactly cheap.
Connect several devices
The use of a network cable to connect to a router to access the Internet or a local network implies that it has enough free ports to do so. Most market routers include a maximum of 4 ports.
If the device number that we want to connect is higher, we will have to buy a switch or use the wireless connectivity of the device that we want to connect. The routers we can find on the market allow you to manage a maximum of 250 connections at the same time, a limitation very difficult to reach in a national sphere.

If we want to enter home automation and create a smart house, the use of cables is not an option because it requires a significant economic investment to distribute the cable for every corner of the house.
