Apple didn’t make one of its rare appearances at CES, but that didn’t stop the company from launching plenty of new hardware in January.
Arguably the main announcement is for the updated versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, which arrive alongside the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips that will power them. Apple says the new silicon offers big performance gains over the M1 equivalents found in the 2021 models, but it remains to be seen how noticeable that will be.
That same week, Apple also launched a new Mac Mini and HomePod, but it’s the MacBook Pro that’s the focus here. With pre-orders now live, here’s everything you need to know before buying one in the US and UK.
