Fans of the 1990s X-Men animated series have reason to rejoice. After 30 years, the show returns in a refreshed version. The long-announced Disney project is about to see the light of day, with characters such as Professor X, Wolverine, Magneto and Jean Gray set to return to TV screens.
X-Men ’97 will be a series unrelated to the expanding MCU, which many may welcome with relief. This will likely make it easier to watch for a new generation of Marvel fans who aren’t necessarily familiar with the complexities of the multiverse.
Animated series, especially those aimed at adult audiences, have recently gained popularity. So, we’re really curious how X-Men ’97 will compare to the bloody Invincible on Prime Video and the sinister Arcane on Netflix.
There’s still time before the premiere of Disney’s superhero show, and we’re gathering the most crucial information about it.
