Steam, with more years than a bank, in the most popular and most famous store in the world to buy games in digital version. If it is true that, over the years, other options such as Epic Games Store or Gog have arrived, to appoint its main competitors, the Valve Gaming Store has continued and will continue to be the king in this area in the coming years, except a disaster.
Far from being the reference store in the world of video games, Steam continues to update the functions it offers in order to prevent users from using third part applications. One of the most recent allows you to save items or even clips from our games, modify them and share them directly, we could already do with the GeForce application of Nvidia.
But, in addition to the highly requested functions with this, it also includes less striking functions and that, for some, are absolutely useless, but, if they are there, it is for something. One of these functions is what allows us to write notes of the titles that we play and consult or even define them on the screen while we play.
This function is particularly useful if we take notes of a game, if we want secondary missions or even follow an order, or we can simply use it to write things that come to mind, although this is not the best option because these notes will be associated with the game card.
How to add notes to the steam games and show them on the screen
Like many of the options that Steam offers us via a superposition, to access the Steam function which allows us to create notes, we must access this function from the game screen using the keyboard shortcut Capitals + tab. Not confused with the shortcut Win + tab which all shows us open applications and offices or Alt + Loss which shows all the applications we have opened on the desktop.
By default, this function is disabled. To activate it, from the superposition function, we must click on the icon which represents a pencil as we can see in the following image.
At that time, a new window will open where we can add all the notes we want. We can create different notes if we want to classify them in different categories. For these notes to be seen on the game of the game and to have it in hand, we must correct the notes by clicking on the bug which is shown at the top of this box and which we marked with a yellow box in the following image.
Finally, press the Keys + Tab capital combination again to return to the game and as you can see in the image, we leave you on these lines, the notes will be superimposed in the game.
From there, we cannot interact with the notes. If we want to modify them, we will have to return to the superposition. From this section, we can also move the position of the window displayed with the size.
If we want to consult the notes, we can do it once we have closed the game, because these are stored in the notes in the section of each game.
It should be remembered that the notes are for each game, not for the entire Steam application.
