Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a lot of fun. The new game from MachineGames and Bethesda lets you slip into the famous adventurer's (I assume very muddy and warm) boots for an exciting new journey around the world. Along the way, you'll solve ancient puzzles and, of course, fight Nazis.
Big circle is very gooda mix of stealth, action, puzzles and exploration all in one Dishonored-like experience worth playing on Xbox or PC. But there are some things the game doesn't tell you, and a few lessons I learned while playing. Here are some adventure tips to help you successfully complete Indy's latest adventure.
Follow the main quest
You unlock key features, outfits and more that help you explore the large maps more thoroughly. And don't worry, you can return to the maps and finish exploring as soon as the credits roll.
Turn the music down and the voices up
The default audio mix-in Big circle is very music-heavy and while I like the game's soundtrack, I had trouble hearing Troy Baker's “Indy” while playing. So I lowered the music in the game by about 10 points and increased the voice acting by about 10.
Always eat!
Food is very important Big circle. Bread can give you extra health, allowing you to take more hits in battle. Fruit, on the other hand, gives you extra stamina and helps you throw more punches or climb longer. So always eat a lot of it. The game will inform you when you have reached the maximum.
Grab plenty of food too
Don't just eat food, eat it! Indy can always carry some fruit and pieces of bread with him. When you reach the maximum amount of food, you also maximize the amount you can carry. It will help you later.
Crack the whip!
Not only is your whip useful for swinging around or pulling things down, it's also very handy in combat. You can whip enemies to stun them or even remove their weapons. If you are surprised by an enemy, whip him, steal the dropped weapon, and then hit him with it.
Also, crack the whip to scare dogs
You don't have to kill dogs Big circle. Instead, just crack the whip near them and they will run away in fear.
When solving puzzles, look carefully at all the objects
There are many puzzles to solve Big circle, and a few times I was stumped. In these cases, I found the answer, or at least a clue, by looking a little deeper at the notes and objects associated with the puzzle. Indy can examine these things and even turn them around. Do that!
I found notes, markers, and other clues on the backs of many objects, and that helped me solve difficult puzzles.
Don't go alone, always bring a weapon
Try to carry a weapon whenever possible. These are very useful as you can take out enemies in one hit if you sneak up on them from behind. But you can also use them in fistfights to gain an advantage.
Sneak around, don't fight
Even if you want to punch and shoot your way through the game, it's better to sneak around. Enemies aren't particularly smart and have poor peripheral vision.
Even if you use a weapon to knock someone out with one punch, no one will hear it, even if you do it with a really loud object like a guitar.
If you are spotted, run away for a while
Stealth is a big part of it Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Sometimes you make a mistake and everyone comes running to kick your ass. Don't fight them; Instead, just run away and find a bush or room to hide in. Within a few moments they will give up and you can go back out and continue your adventure.
Use fast travel signs
While the game's large maps are a lot of fun to explore, don't be afraid to use fast travel if you're looking for those last few secrets or side quests. To use fast travel, look for signposts on the map (they sparkle a bit) and click where you want to go. Remember that you must have been to a location at least once to fast travel there.
Walk around with your journal
Indy's Diary is very useful because when you open it in map mode, objective markers are placed in the world in the game. This will help you get where you need to go.
Don't forget to actually purchase the upgrades you collect
Big circle Here you can find books that will help improve Indy's skills and stats. However, remember that just picking up a book and collecting it is not enough. You still need to open your journal, go to upgrades, and use Adventure Points to purchase and unlock the upgrade you've collected. It's a bit strange, but worth remembering.
Also, use your camera to get extra Adventure Points
While you earn upgrade points by completing missions and quests, you also earn some points for taking photos of important people, places or events. Look for the camera icon in the top left of the screen and pull it out when it pops up. Then look around for something special to photograph and take a photo to earn points.
