Developer Day returned for its 12th annual summer event with another Summer Game Fest post-show, giving the non-E3 mic to the creators behind some of the most promising upcoming games. Whether you like noir-influenced point-and-click adventures or nostalgic retro RPGs, the event proved once again that indie gaming has something for everyone.

Presentation for Developers Day 2024 is the group’s first summer event since becoming a full-fledged non-profit organization. Born out of a collaboration between DoubleFine and iam8bit, Day of the Devs scours the world in search of unusual, bespoke, and imaginative passion projects to bring to a wider audience. In contrast to the Summer Game Fest and other showcasesThere is no fee charged to developers for the inclusion of their games and the program is self-financed through charitable donations from others.

It’s basically PBS for games, and it’s only possible with the support of viewers like you and the generosity of some of the biggest companies in the video game industry. At the end of today’s livestream, Day of the Devs announced its sponsors for this year, which include Microsoft and Sony, among many others, such as Geoff Keighley’s own Summer Game Fest. Oddly, Nintendo was absent.

The Day of the Devs moderators concluded the event by asking people in leadership positions at studios, publishers and platform operators with “available budgets” to help keep the organization afloatHere are all the games that received donations to be featured on this year’s Day of the Dev summer livestream:
