A true race show usually about surviving, dating, or singing. Probably a combination of all three. But sometimes, reality television has tried to get into the realm of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Sometimes it works, sometimes they fail miserably.
Here are the latest TV attempts to install the genre reality TV. Be sure to watch our video above to take a look at each show (which you may not have done in the first place) and how it came in. Spoilers: Most of them don't last that long! It goes to show that a reality TV doesn't really need that kind of illusion to be a dream. It does a good job enough by itself.
1. Murder in Small Town X (2001)
Back in 2001, Fox tried to make money with reality crime shows and the reality television universe Murder in Small Town X. At the exhibition, 10 contestants were brought to the city of Sunrise, Maine to investigate a series of brutal killings – and it was a huge undertaking. Most of the actors were set up in the original town of Eastport, Maine, providing information to investigators or drama creators. And the story was huge, as all the murders were linked to a decades-long conspiracy involving a secret society.
Murder in Small Town X it might be a great project but that doesn't equal critical acclaim or ratings, and the show is dropped after one season. Unfortunately as it was a creative idea, but the show hasn't exactly stopped for nearly twenty years. Besides, we have escape rooms now.
2. Looking for (2014)
Murder in Small Town X He has traveled extensively at ABC Looking for able to run. One of the production teams behind The Lord of the Rings they have dedicated a great deal of creative, great Live Action Role Play event. Looking for it takes place in the magical world of Everealm, as 12 players (or "Paladins") compete in tests set by the queen to prove their resolve to use Sunpepear against the evil Verlox.
The series was filmed in a huge mansion and added tons of extras – great monsters, miserable villagers, and many good names for "brave young heroes." It was well received but was not renewed for another season. Fortunately, Chapter is not closing on this story yet: Disney just announced they are stimulating Looking for for Disney +. Maybe that means we can see the demand prepared by Disney for our new heroes, like the reality TV genre It was a long time ago
3. The Opposing World (2014)
Syfy has done a lot of great shows for nerds, that is its cosplay and cosmetic competitions. Then, there it is The Opposing World which I consider to be one of the worst ideas and releases of a reality show. The Opposing World he was marked as "experimental" to see who would come out as the highest person: a Stone Age cave man, or a civilized person from the future.
There was no race: Future won. That is because everyone in the past was stuck in the snow and died in an open cave, wearing false fur licks and eating fish heads. While people will in future be treated to a true sci-fi utopia – or at least a reality TV version. Finished with “pheromone showers,” temperature change sheets, and an AI computer that was not the manufacturer after talking to a distorted microphone.
The show was plagued by scheduled injuries, in addition to the mixed race, so it's not surprising that she woke up after just one season. And good riddance too. Better Syfy with cosplay.
4. Children's Nation (2007)
Finally, the most famous: The Children's Nation. You might think this isn't a genre reality show because it's about a bunch of kids in the Old West. You are wrong. Children's Nation full King of Flies, is in War Royale. Seriously, a psychologist said the children it wasn't full King of Flies if the adults were not behind the scenes.
In the show from CBS, a group of children were sent to an abandoned city to build their community – some became leaders, some worked. Everyone became part of the evil caste system. Before there was any debate, the show was on controversy it CBS advertisers are not lost and informed the state of New Mexico that announce the inquiry whether the show violated child labor laws – even though they were later dropped. The show had a lot of adults planned to keep kids safe, but this was not a show that felt kind to kids. Dealing with child abuse or endangerment charges, and low ratings, CBS has been canceled Children's Nation.
