Current goal: Win the tournament and get my wish granted
Play it on: The PlayStation Plus Classics catalogue
this past week, Bent metal And Twisted metal 2 came into the PlayStation Plus Classics catalogue. The timing is oddly opportune considering that a Peacock TV series based on the long-dormant vehicular combat franchise is about to debut. I think the series looks terrible and I have no interest in watching it at all. However, I think so too Twisted metal 2 is one of the best games of all time. So if it takes the synergy of cross-company promotion to get this explosive, happily chaotic game back on a console, then I’ll take it.
It’s been well over 20 years since I’ve actually played the game, and I’m looking forward to re-familiarizing myself with the memorable and varied driver cast, cacophonous soundscape, and immersive action. I’m also excited to relive the outrageous destruction that can be wreaked on its stages. (I do not remember How I’ll probably play through the whole thing with a few different characters to see some endings. You see, in these games, the tournament is run by a mysterious figure called Calypso, who promises to grant the winner a single wish. if he does, but there’s always something (you guessed it!) twisted about it, and it’s hilariously funny to see how things pan out for each rider. I bet the writing style of these endings is smarter than anything we’ll see in the Peacock series.
A moment! What if I wished so badly Twisted metal 2 Getting back to that, Calypso granted my wish but felt that this would only be possible if we also got an awful live-action series? Oh god no! What have I done?! – Carolyn Petit
And that’s it for the latest issue of my cityweekend guide. What are you playing this weekend?
