In 2017 the Tea Ninja studio exclusively launched the PlayStation 4 project for its performance and RPG for samurai and monsters that were growing for more than a decade. It was a time when Dark Souls had reached its trilogy by completely tapping its formula, and saw it as some of the Lords of the Fallen or later Surge broke through the basement but without much entry. Undoubtedly, of all the topics close to the Soulsborne formula, Nioh is the greatest personality and character, and the only one who can watch with the eyes from Software. It has a deep fan base looking for new features for new installations, and it looks like the Te Ninja team has come together. It is true that Nioh 2 introduces new material and somehow its structure is fragmented in the first half. However, it is not possible to determine the similarities and differences in all these analyzes so, if you are not familiar with the original Nioh, you can find it here.
In this new adventure we will return to feudal Japan in the Sengoku period (a time of constant internal warfare between the military officers and their samurai), approximately 50 years before the first delivery.
Here we play a new protagonist, a hybrid of human father and mother Yokai. After our mother was murdered as a child and taken by mysterious dagga, we survived the war against these evil spirits seeking revenge. From this union of the human and Yokai units produces a combat system in Nioh 2, giving a twist to the previous one, which includes guard forces and physical weapons. But let's go through the parts.
At the beginning of this adventure we will be allowed to create our own character, where we have the most complete edits for endless repairs, among others who have chosen gender, eye color, accessories or tattoos. It is a magnificent creation, though in this way the whole story that is being developed feels very personal. Curious fact: If you're already an experienced and heavy Nioh original file on the PS4 and on the other hand, you can turn on the playful character of its rival William Like a spear for fans.
After the creation of our character we have to choose the first two weapons, and here we get the first proper script, because the arriers we have are added. two new types of weapon: one used guja, and hatchets
After the weapon selection we choose our guard air. Guards' spirits give us easy skills and enhance our attacks there we release their power by carrying them with an amrita, or spiritual stone, where the experience plan and site structure are supported. In Nioh 2 there are three types of guard spirit: Barbariar (heavy-handed attack, heavy-armored thought) Wild (power agility, easy to attack and attack) and Ghost (focused on the defense and magic development of Onmyo). We start the game in the spirit of Fiera, though as we move forward we can find guardian spirits of the three types.

The standard layout remains the same as in the original installation. The game is divided into several arrows, each with primary and secondary machines with large and detailed maps, full of details and secrets to find. Scouting will provide us with non-consumable items, weapons, weapons, and building materials and refining them. They join the party in addition to many formidable enemies without any known means. Highlighting new additions like Enki and Gaki, or the inclusion of other non-aggressive Yokai, such as Sunekosuri, which will help us by giving us temporary bonuses.
It is important to pay close attention during the first stages of play, as they teach us the use of the Yokai Form. While in the first Nioh we had a health bar and Ki bar (attack and defense), here we have the third bar, called anima, with which we can release our amazing form and download a powerful attack. With this ability the fight becomes more powerful than the first Nioh.
The Yokai form relies on a guardian spirit and arrives to replace what has been known as the "living weapon." We can now detect the sounds of enemy enemies as they die (there is a chance that bring down fall) and use the anima to seduce the fallen Yokai and make one of its attacks. In addition, it allows us to read Special Backlash when the enemy performs Fury Attack (doubtful because before killing them with a red aura around the opponent) that if not blocked in this way, it would probably destroy us with one blow.
Learn to control the time by this contradiction is important surviving even in the first phase, and is one of the major means of combat. The special Counterattack (it looks like Clouderackack Miki's Kekiro somehow also seems to have an impact here) will save our lives on more than one occasion, especially when we have more people, something that will happen over and over again in this new way. By rediscovering all the skills available from scratch (except for the Magic of the Month and Path of Nina, though it was discovered and improved during the game's original bars), we can face even more powerful enemies with new combos and curve of mass, which had been demonized, now seems a little slow to ride.
But this does not lead to deception. In Nioh 2, people continue to die a lot, because it's the only way to learn. We can spend several hours on the same mission and have the same enemy repeatedly sending us to the sanctuary, until we learn their movements and look for that small hole in their defenses to deal with our attacks. And, of course, trial and error and great patience, we made progress.
There will be those who at one time feel the senses betraying him and think of getting off the boat, but in fact there is no reason for it, because sometimes we cannot be alone, and that option is also considered by players with less patience. In a collaborative way we are able to join other players to help them do some work, or to urge them to come and support us. New variants have been added, because in addition to taking a guest to the holy places to help us win missions or visit other games from Torii Gate, each player can leave a mark called Benevolent Tomb, which they can attract other players and that our character's dignity will work with. At other times of the game, the use of these cemeteries can prevent despair during some difficult hours, to the point of even fighting with management. They are a partner of the well-known Bloody Tombs, which allowed us to deal with the Appearance of the player he had met at the time, and thus gain Honor and rare items.
Since the samurai must have the right weapons, it seems that the technical performance has gone through even moderate reviews. Here are some good points for Nioh 2, because the animation phase has improved a lot, adding great editing and lighting to the situations and a great attention to detail. Charging times seem to be reduced (we played it on a standard PS4). And both the initial loading times of the game and the interlocking of the machines seem shorter even compared to the original delivery at the same time.
Without thinking that it would be an important jump or a break for previous established meetings, there can be no doubt that Nioh 2 was able to sink the formula without any increase in input difficulties. Despite having its difficult moments, no time has made us want to focus our remote control on the TV (although we would love to have DualShock 5 to try it out, biofeedback pulling and sweating according to the patent). It's not a big change in terms of the first one, and maybe there are some who dream of challenging hard reads and learning a hard curve, but in general this sequel has managed to respond to the small problems caused by the previous one and introduced enough variables to give it a go. Developing is a popular guitar with a certain popularity that will please those who need a real challenge to their skills with command.
So, for new players it is an interesting way to start with the saga. And for voters, it means perfecting the experience by offering multiple options and new restrictions. Let the Yokai hunt begin.
