Wingman project, an indie arcade dogfighting game for the PC, is a project I’ve had my eye open for years now, so this week it was cool to finally see it on Steam.
The work of a tiny development team – in fact, most of the coding was done by just one person, Aussie Abi Rahmani –Wingman project has very strong Ace fight Energy, a sensational feeling of speed and movement, some nice light and cloud effects and above all VR support.

I’ve been playing the game all week and it’s pretty cool! One nice surprise I found is that it is fine playing with a controller, something I was worried about since I recently lost my fancy flying stick Move.
The game’s post-apocalyptic take is … strange, but then Ace fight It is never so much about historical or political realism. Maybe this is a genre thing now (or maybe even a legal rights issue, who knows!).
