For about 12 hours, I was staying Crossing the Animals: New Horizons it is a difficult night. The 95 hours of playtime seemed to be gone – my island disappeared into thin air.
I've been playing my own Animal Crossing, until it started to get heavy on my hands. A good idea, I thought, to upgrade to Swits Lite. The only thing I had heard from friends many times was that the feeling of two changes was a headache for title permissions and some unexpected annoyance, so I decided to simply make my new Transch Lite a main console. The first thing I did when I turned on the neon yellow portable was to submit my user information, which was changed by my original switch into a straight line. When I post things again, my onboard switch will no longer have my user profile. Well, I was thinking. It can also bring about my final data.
Once the preparations were completed, I entered my copy New Horizons in my new console, where I find out that the game would welcome me to a new island. I was confused – where was my old island? I went back to my other switch and found nothing there. I wondered where, exactly, my island was stored – and then remembered that I kept my SD card installed on my original switch. That must be it, I thought. So, I brought my card to my Lite.
Lite told me that the SD cards are formatted for single use, and that if I want to have it as my storage system, I need to delete previous console information. Thinking I had no reason to go back to the old console, I said yes. I started at the bottom New Horizons once again, only to be greeted again by Timmy and Tommy Nook. What ???
I have tried to reload my profile information on my old switch, but the console told me that once I have done this, the profile will be connected to the switch. Given that I don't want to use my virtual switch as a real one, this doesn't seem like a solution.
In a state of desperation, I turned to Twitter and asked people if I had just unknowingly deleted my entire island by writing down my SD card. This was my first mistake, though I didn't know it at the time. I was told by strangers that yes, my island no longer exists. To my knowledge, they seemed to be right – my new Swichi Lite was empty, my old Switch was empty. I started ripping it off, and even thought of trying to explain the whole thing to my therapist without sounding absurd as to why I care deeply about other digital animals. Laughing, and a little hard with the experience, I decided to just start over.
In this case, I thought, I would resume my game until I found good citizens. And so the night went on, with me flying to a new island on the other side, trying to find the perfect combination of animals I grew to love. I am based on deer and peacock, which during most of my Animal Crossing hours, I have never played with before. Then there were all the introductory introductions – setting up camp, learning how to do art work, and so on. It helped me to think of it as a speed, not for me trying to make the best out of a seemingly bad situation. How quickly can I think of all this? How long would it take me to get back to where I was?
The next morning, it dawned on me that I hadn't tried one thing yet because of the panic masma that encapsulated everything that happened. What would happen if I just restored my game to my old switch? I was surprised, and despite the fact that the profile didn't look exactly on the console under normal circumstances, the standard icon did appear. My account! Obviously, my profile it was I'm hiding inside my old Change all the time. I couldn't see it unless I had my game back on the system. I started New Horizons up again, and the game told me that you couldn't find the user the saved file attached to it – but did I want to continue playing as that character?
God, yes. As I walked through the courtyards of Koga Island that morning, I was surprised to see the citizens who had annoyed me in the midst of normal conditions. I went up to every character and said hello. I cried again, glad to see a familiar face, but also angry that I had done all that in vain.
As I learned, there are Crossing the Animals: New Horizons Keep the file attached to your game cart or SD card. Saved to the system itself. Once you have started a backup file somewhere, you should stay there, even if your account is connected somewhere else, even if you download a cart from a different program. While Swichi now has cloud storage, Crossing the Animals: New Horizons
Surprisingly, it works this way, given that Animal Crossing is Nintendo's hottest game right now, yet the game doesn't support basic functions like cloud storage – a useful feature even if you're not two-sided. . I think at least some people get a second change, but, once they have started the Animal Crossing rescue file, they can't fully enjoy the development. Obviously, the ability to recover stored data "in the event of a console failure, loss or theft" will be available to Nintendo switchch Online subscribers later this year, according to Nintendo. Not enough, in my opinion, but it is, I think – better than simply losing your stuff, as I feared I did.
In the end, my thing wasn't just a scam, but I hope my myth serves as a warning to everyone thinking of buying a second switch. Crossing the Animals: New Horizons right now. You will be able to enjoy the setup of the two consoles, for the most part – but not if you want to enjoy the island's discoveries.
