With the upcoming release of Half-Life: Alyx it looks like most people are buying VR headsets or replacing their old ones. But we still have a few days left before Alyx you are released, so maybe you need something to play. You may be stuck at home because of this virus. I therefore recommend setting up a Viveport infinity free trial.
What is Viveport? Though it is a style name, it is also a VR's VR game store and launcher. But it works traditionally with SteamVR and OpenVR on headsets. So even if you don't have Vive HMD, you can download it and use the app with other headers, such as Index.
But why? Yes because Viveport has a huge subscription app called infinity and lets you play more than 700 VR games for a monthly fee of $ 12. And new users get a two-week free trial, which I'm currently using.
One of the biggest problems with VR is that many VR games are not good or they can be something you want to play every day. Most original content is something you aim for once or twice and never repeat. Viveport infinity has allowed me to jump over a dozen games without spending a dollar. And even if my trial ends, $ 12 a month to get a growing library of VR games and apps is a solid deal.
Viveport software also improved significantly over the past year. If you look at Viveport you can find it Send again or Tweets complaining of crashes. I have no issues so far and games download and install instantly. I will warn you that using the menus and exploring content in Viveport feels more fun than my experience with Steam. But when I look at the games I can now reach for nothing, it's tolerable.
If you end up liking some of the games available with infinity, you can buy and play them later without having to subscribe. (You can try them out here and buy them on Steam if you want.) This whole thing works exactly like Game Pass on Xbox and Windows.
What is worth remembering is that, like Netflix, it seems that HTC has filled the app with more quantity than quality. There are many bad games and apps available on Infinity.
Arizona Sun. – Yes, it's a zombie game. But it looks good and plays well.
Ritchie Bone Experience – If you are afraid of getting high, get your friends to try this. Watching people go VR is always funny.
I'm waiting for Death -If you want something to play with sitting down, this is a good choice. Imagine 007 encountering an escape room.
Fruit Ninja – It turns out using swords to cut things up is a blast of VR.
Reason: Rise To Glory – One of the best boxing VR games out there.
Sliding Brush – One of my favorite sketches and VR apps. I can't create anything amazing, but I have a great time using it Sliding Brush.
