Assassin's Creed ShadowsPresent The next main game in Ubisoft's long-term historical fiction franchise is almost there afterwards A few delaysPresent A leakAnd a lot of online screaming. And if you plan to play the game on Steam, I have some good news and also some bad news for steam deck owners.
On February 28, Ubisoft published a technically oriented Q&A around Assassin's Creed Shadows. In the post office, they answered a dozen fan questions about how the upcoming open-world stealth game on consoles, specifications for PC, upscaling and raytracing options and much more are carried out. And in this new article Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows Not on steam, not, As at many Ubisoft PC gamesRequire the players to download and install Ubisoft Connect.
So yes, here is the good news: According to Ubisoft, you don't have to play around with a separate launcher while playing Shadow About steam. The company says that Shadow Contains a “Lite -Medded version” by Ubisoft Connect in it.
However, you must continue to link your Steam account with a Ubisoft Connect account with the game Shadow. Ubisoft promises that this is a “unique” thing and as soon as they link the accounts, they will go well, but it is still a strange barrier between steam users and the game. And for those who are concerned that this means that they have to be online to play ShadowThat is not the case. Ubisoft confirmed that you only need an internet connection to install the game. Then you can play offline.
Now for some bad news: Steam Deck users are not played Assassin's Creed Shadows At the start. In today's Tech -Q & a, Ubisoft answered very bluntly to a question Shadow On the steam deck with:
At the start, the game is not compatible with Steam Deck, as it is below our minimum specifications for PC.
This is not surprising because more and more games have difficulty running on the aging steam deck. The fact that Ubisoft stated that it is not playable At the start is interesting. Perhaps the company will add some Steam Deck options in a future update to make it playable on the portable PC from Valve. But if you don't have a computer that can play Shadow And rely on a steam deck to play PC games. I would capture the purchase of the new ones Assassin's Creed.
Assassin's Creed Shadows is almost there. The game starts on March 20 on the Xbox series X/S, PS5 and PC.
