To wrap up another exciting week of gaming, during June’s Nintendo Direct we got a glimpse of what Nintendo has planned for the rest of 2023 (a lot!). Final Fantasy 16 is finally here and Xbox is increasing prices on its Game Pass subscription service starting July 6th.
We’re back for another weekend post to bring you all the offers, promotions and more you need to know. We’ve rounded up the best entertainment and gaming deals from the past week, and this week we’re also featuring a handful of the most popular products on Polygon.
This week’s best gaming deals
It’s no secret that Game Pass is one of the best deals in gaming, giving you access to a rotating library of AAA titles to play on your PC or Xbox, in addition to day-one access to new releases starfield. Well, starting July 6th, the service will cost a little more, so be sure to top up your subscription while you can. The monthly price of Game Pass Ultimate will be increased by $2, resulting in a monthly cost of $16.99, and the standard Game Pass subscription will be $1 more, costing $10.99 per month.
Currently, some retailers are offering 1-month and 3-month Game Pass subscriptions at a lower price than retail, allowing you to extend your current subscription well into 2023 and beyond if needed. However, the current best offer for Game Pass Ultimate is available from a website called Eneba, which gets you a three-month subscription for around $27, which is about 40% off the current price. Also, remember that starting July 6th, there will be almost a 50% discount off the new price for three months of service.
Other Game Pass perks include exclusive offers and discounts on games you want to permanently add to your collection. You also get the option to stream games from the cloud directly to your phone, tablet, desktop or console.
Here’s a last-minute reminder that the big sale of Switch games on Nintendo eShop is ending in the coming days. In addition to the discount on several first-party titles such as Metroid Dread And super mario party, there are also plenty of indies and other major Switch titles on offer.
