In an interview published today, Bethesda’s creative director Todd Howard revealed the studio’s future plans and explained it after the Elder Scrolls 6 comes out will be the studio’s next game failure 5, the next major entry in the company’s post-apocalyptic open-world role-playing game franchise. However, considering how long it takes Bethesda to develop these big games, don’t expect any of the RPGs to be launched any time soon.

During an interview with IGN, Howard laid out very clearly and openly what Bethesda Game Studios would be working on over the next few years. In concrete terms, completion is currently planned 2023 starfield and start working on the next entry in its Elder Scrolls series, Elder Scrolls 6, which Howard explained is currently in pre-production. After that, the studio will focus on that failure 5

“Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production,” Howard explained. “And you know, we will do failure 5 So after that, our board is pretty full for a while.”

Interestingly, Howard also said that Bethesda Game Studios has some “other projects” that the team looks at “also from time to time,” but didn’t elaborate on what those games are, how far along they might be, or where they might be in fall off the production schedule.

To be clear, this isn’t the first time Howard has spoken about it failure 5. In fact, this isn’t even the first time he’s spoken to him IGN about the next game in the popular RPG series. Last year, during another interview with the outletHoward explained that the studio had a rough idea of what failure 5 would be, but did not elaborate on it or reveal details about the game.

“Stand outis really part of our DNA here,” Howard said IGN in 2021. “We have collaborated with others [developers] from time to time – I can’t say what will happen. You know, we have a one-pager on Fallout 5 that we want to do.”

During this interview, however, Howard was less clear about the timeline. Now we know that failure 5 will actually be published afterwards Elder Scrolls 6. And that probably means failure 5 will be out, oh…let’s say 2035. If you’re lucky.

Elder Scrolls 6 was first officially unveiled with a brief teaser during E3 2018 and has been since We’ve basically heard nothing else about the game. The last main line Stand out Game, failure 4was published in 2015.

Howard told IGN today that he wishes they could make these games faster and, like many of the studio’s biggest fans, was frustrated at having to wait so many years between games. But he explained it was part of the process and necessary.

“They take a while, I wish they came out quicker, I really do,” Howard admitted. “We’re trying as hard as we can, but we want them to be as good as possible for everyone.”

Well, the real question is will Elder Scrolls 6 or failure 5 will launch on PlayStation consoles in the future or only on Xbox and PC? (I know the answer to that, and Bethesda fans who only play games on PlayStation consoles probably won’t like it…)
