One of most controversial things about surveillance 2 was the transition of the popular hero shooter from a paid game to a free download, backed by mind-bending Battle Passes. Blizzard now says it wants to address these concerns going forward and iron out the game’s progression in future Seasons so players “feel more rewarded just for sitting down and playing.”
“For Season 3 and beyond, we’re looking at a mix of Battle Pass changes, more interesting challenges, and more exciting game-centric progression systems, all of which you can dig into. Since the game’s launch, players have been frustrated with new heroes being trapped behind the paid Battle Pass, the time it takes to level it up, and the high prices of all skins. At the moment, Blizzard is working on granting more XP to support players to motivate them to take on this role and reduce wait times. surveillance 2 is also currently handing out Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko highlight intros to those who sign up during certain periods about the next week. Blizzard even has Enabled crossplay aim assist for console players in all modes except Competitive, as the alternative was a “bad experience”.
“Players who have stayed with us, players who have returned and players who are just getting in on the fun right now – thank you for playing surveillance 2‘ Neuss wrote today. “We have an incredible community, and I hope we can continue to grow together by being more open about what we think.”
