Kinetic games from Blumhouse and developers have teamed up to develop a film adaptation of the horror game Phasmophobia. Blumhouse and James Wans Atomic Monster Production Company will produce the upcoming film in cooperation with kinetic games.
“We are enthusiastic about announcing that A Phasmophobia The film adaptation is in development – it is a big moment for the entire kinetic team and the beginning of something really exciting, ”said Daniel Knight, director of Kinetic Games and Lead Developer from Phasmophobia. “We could never have imagined how incredible heights of this game would achieve if it started five years ago, and we are so grateful to our amazing community for the permanent effects that phasophobia had in the scope and beyond. Working with Blumhaus and Atomic Monster is an incredible new chapter for the game and we can hardly share it while the project is developing.”
Phasmophobia was released in early access in 2020. The players take on the role of paranormal investigators that accept contracts that require them to determine what kind of spirits a certain place pursues. It may have been inevitable that a video game that feels like that Ghost hunter The TV show would eventually become a film. Kinetic Games has recently announced that the upcoming Chronicle update, which is to be published in June, will revise the level system, progression systems and the rewards of the game. In addition, the game's updates will revise the Grafton Farmhouse and later add a new card this year.
