Twitch streamer Limcube has gone to great lengths to get all the hoes he can — wait, we’re talking about those breath of the wild garden tool. You know, those who used to cultivate Remove soil and weeds. head out of the gutter.

Limcube has been creating content on YouTube since July 2018. Primarily known for speed running games like e.g breath of the wild And Super Mario OdysseyLimcube has beaten Nintendo’s open world zelda Game to Hell and Back. At the moment he does a speedrun with all quests which as the name suggests requires Limcube to complete all of them breath of the wild Quest before putting Calamity Ganon six feet under water. With over 6,000 hours in game and plenty of time to finish Tears of the Kingdom Drops on May 12th, Limcube thought it would be fun if Link got all the hoes in the Great Plateau.
A speedrun designed out of desperation
In a March 15 livestream, Limcube said he “did that [all hoes speedrun] getting up out of desperation” because he wanted to do a “cool, short run.” He said my city via a discord call he’s practiced 20-30 times before to complete in 29 minutes and 40 seconds. Before the finish, the run began like any other breath of the wild Playthrough: in the main region of the game, the Great Plateau.
After exiting the starting shrine and grabbing the Sheikah Tablet, Limcube began quickly gathering equipment and materials. These included the weak Boko Spear and Pot Lid Shield, and some Hot Peppers for healing. He performed a couple of umbrella clips And the flying BLSS technique This allows Link to easily walk through walls and levitate through the air. These maneuvers formed the basis of Limcube’s speedrun, which was all about chopping, as he staged into shrines, dashing around the Great Plateau with ease to do so runes (Bomb, Kryonis, Magnesis, and Stasis) that make traversing easier. Here, after letting go in the mountain region, the run really started. He started himself with The wind bomb moves, a glitch that launches Link several feet in the air at tons of speed to find the first pickaxe at the base of a tree in the Satori Mountains. Then he picked up a few more pickaxes hidden in the villages of Hateno and Kakariko. He collects Groot seeds
The battle for the hoes is tougher than you think
While collecting the majority of the game’s 11 hoes was relatively easy, since Limcube just had to have them lying around the world, he recounted my city that five of the hoes were hard to get because blue bokoblins used them as weapons. Since this is a speedrun, Limcube hasn’t leveled up or collected armor to increase his defense. As such, he stayed at the minimum of three hearts throughout the run. And since blue bokoblins are tougher than regular red ones, a single hit from their clubs and pitchforks could send Link to his grave. As such, “one of the hard parts in this run was finding a strong weapon early on” to steal the hoes, Limcube said. Luckily, with the Golden Claymore he found in Satori Mountain, he made short work of every bokoblin he encountered.
After hurtling through the Great Plateau and taking down every Bokoblin he encountered, Limcube completed the All Hoes Speedrun in under 30 minutes. Limcube said that alongside boredom and desperation, he was dying to try a new speedrun, something different that no one has done before.
“At first I thought about all these serious ideas, like collecting all the armor or all the legendary weapons, like the ones you get by beating the dungeons and all that,” Limcube said. “But it didn’t sound all that fun. So I thought of meme speedruns like the one I did in 2020 I put link as soon as possible. Then I started thinking about other fun running ideas and for some reason I came up with this whole hoe. Great wordplay, super creative. There are 11 farming hoes in the game, so I knew it would be relatively quick. So I just planned the route and then randomized it.”

Now that he’s done with that speedrun and biding his time until Tears of the Kingdom coming out in May, Limcube returns to the all-quests challenge he’s currently taking on. But he hopes so be breath of the wild Meme Speedrun inspires other creators to get all hoes faster than him.
“I’m curious to see if anyone else picks this up [all hoes speedrun] and optimizes it,” said Limcube. “That’s always fun.”
