Can Pidgey be shiny in Pokemon Go?

On February 7, 2023, Pidgey will be in the spotlight Pokemon Go, and you’ll get double XP for evolving Pokémon. And yes, Pidgey can be shiny Pokemon Go!

Pidgeot, the evolution of Pidgey, has Mega Evolution – and it’s strong, being one of the strongest Flying-type Pokémon in the entire game. That alone makes Pidgey worth hunting down during this Spotlight Hour. Set up your Mega Pidgeot with Gust and Brave Bird to do some serious damage. In order to learn Gust, you must use an Elite Fast TM as it is a legacy move.

Pokemon is about catching them all, and in pokemon go, That means catching every variant, including rare Shiny versions of Pokémon. Every Tuesday in Pokemon Go, players will see a specific Pokémon spawn more frequently during Spotlight Hour, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. local time. Spotlight Hour is your chance to load up Candy, a chance at high CP Pokémon, and if you’re lucky, a Shiny Pokémon.

Will Shiny rates increase during Spotlight Hour?

Based on data collected from the Pokémon community, Shiny rates don’t appear to increase during Spotlight hours The Silph Street. However, the sheer number of Pokemon spawning during the hour-long weekly event gives you an improved chance of clicking on a random Shiny.
