Capcom is officially making a sequel to the dragon’s beliefthe popular but modestly successful action RPG released in 2012. The continuation, dragon dogma 2was approved by Capcom veteran and the dragon’s belief Game director Hideaki Itsuno during a 10th anniversary live stream on Thursday.
Itsuno joined the dragon’s belief Art Director Daigo Ikeno and Environment Art Lead Kenichi Suzuki, who are also working on the sequel during the stream.
dragon dogma 2 is developed with Capcom’s internal RE Engine, the technology powering the latest Resident Evil remakes, Devil May Cry 5and next year street fighter 6
The original the dragon’s belief was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In our review of the fantasy action role-playing game, we said the dragon’s belief “embraces wild design choices that deliver intriguing results, even if they don’t necessarily result in a better experience for the player.” Capcom publishes Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisenan expansion/re-release of the original, in 2013.
