Having a nice house inside Crossing the Animals: New Horizons a dream. Every day I see pictures of other players' homes, and I love their indoor choices and beautiful rooms. How can I get to that level?
This has nothing to do with “feng shuiThe game mechanic used by Animal Crossing because that, has nothing to do with the interior design, and much to do in multiplying the invisible figures. New Horizons.
I got it Diana Budds, who wrote about the invention of many publications, recently Our sister site Curbed, where he produced the old news.
"I think what's really interesting about the game in terms of interior design is that you can create art," Diana said. “You think a lot as an interior designer to think about: thinking about colors, thinking about different things, thinking about patterns, thinking about the little touches that make you feel at home. How many of us actually get so much control of our homes? ”
Check out the video above, where I give Diana a tour of my home on CUBA 2 island and we rearrange my home together. Diana confirmed what I suspected: that actual interior design tips would inform you how to set a New Horizons home to increase comfort and snazziness.
Don't put everything on the wall
Our environment may tell us to put more furniture on the wall to maximize floor space, but that doesn't make your home feel great.
"When you're standing in the middle of the room and everything is against the wall, you feel like you're looking at everything that's close to you," Diana said. "But when you take things out, create space in the middle of the space, it will slow you down and make you feel comfortable."
So try floating furniture on the outside of the wall – whether that means placing a side cushion on the floor, or installing a flat on the wall. Blowing furniture out of this would help with our next tip.
Create locations
Places are small vignettes of furniture that help break the space in your room.
Or take out your own New Horizons at home and get more rooms, this is still a useful way to make the space feel soft rather than crowded. It's a philosophy you might be familiar with if you've ever decorated a studio apartment.
"I think that as our brain works, we always need a place to rest, we need a place to work, we need a place to enjoy ourselves," Diana said. “And we have one place. The challenge is finding ways to build those small spaces. ”
Apply Diana's advice on pushing furniture into walls can make surfaces stronger. To use the bed as an example again, floating the bed away from the wall makes it clear where the living room begins and ends.
Don't be afraid of big bullets
Rugs are another straightforward way of defining areas in your house.
"The type of TLDR I think people tend to have is very small bullets in their nose," Diana said.
The quick and comfortable rule of rugby size is that it should cover every area you offer. That is why, even though I have a small room, a small rug is not a good choice. Diana says the room looks more organized when the rug is the same size as the furniture.
Check out the video above to see how bad my living room looks when I use a very small rug. But when I put in every piece of furniture, everything looks very neat, even when I'm not removing furniture.
Don’t be afraid of bold patterns
Let's make one thing clear: I cover my walls with healthy forest wallpaper. And it's dominating. Some people say that the larger patterns make the space look heavier, but that's not true.
On my big forest wall, Diana says, "It makes your space feel bigger as it is an image with a long height in it, and it kind of makes it feel like you're in this shallow forest."
When it comes to the combination of color combinations, it is difficult to follow the traditional rules internally New Horizons. Let's face it, in real life I couldn't find the wallpaper in my living room jungle wallpaper. And I couldn't test it just to see that it matched my features. New Horizons lets you look down with wallpapers and custom furniture that you can't try in real life, so I say go here.
Small furniture is not the answer
“Having so little space,” says Diana, “can make a lot of sense. "If one piece is bigger that can do the same job, sometimes it can make it feel too big."
She points The Little Life Book, by Curbed contributor Laura Fenton.
"This family, instead of using the many dining chairs around their table, use a bench and that is a way that they can mix in the size of the furniture." The bench allowed many people to sit at the table, but it made the space worse.
The "make it big" recommendation also applies to vertical space too – if you have shelves that reach the roof, they actually make your room look taller.
(Fortunately this is not a problem at Animal Crossing. Those bad boys high.)
Reduce clutter
This is difficult for me, in Animal Crossing and Reality, because I have so many things I want to show. But filling all available space with cool stuff makes the room look crowded.
One of the benefits of New Horizons Technically, the whole island is your storage. So don't try to show all your stuff all the time. The plan is to have a purpose, and to think about what you really want in the room. The solution to this would be to exchange decorative jewelry daily, or when guests arrive.
The wall space is also large, and inside New Horizons things like the best clothes can be hung on the wall. In my home, I used wall lamps instead of floors or table lamps to save space.
Do what pleases you
For me Crossing the Animals: New Horizons at home, that means making my space feel like a striking forest. Get in!
I will never be able to live inside a dark jamy home healthy in real life, though Animal Crossing let's not go wild with our dreams. I hope these tips help you follow your dreams, too – and maybe you can impress that Tinder day.
