A new report claims that Netflix's next big fantasy TV show Bet A is Dungeons & Dragons Live action series by Shawn Levy, the writer and director behind last year, produced Mega blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine.
On February 13th, Deadline reported that it had heard of sources that Netflix had concluded a contract for a live action after a long negotiation phase Dungeons & Dragons TV show. The show was created by Drew Crevello to the plans for a Paramount+ D&D The series fell apart in 2024. Shawn Levy has recently been involved and will help produce it through his 21 round production company.
According to reports, Netflix could build an entire live action universe on the show if this series lifts. Crevello wrote the pilot episode and joins development. But if they are excited for Chris Pine and others Wonderful 2023 Dungeons & Dragons film To show, I have bad news. It is reported that this new, not yet confirmed series is not associated with Paramount's film. That makes me very sad.
The registered Dungeons & Dragons The series is discontinued in the famous “Forgotten Realms” campaign. This is far the most popular D&D Setting and is the same universe as both Baldur's goal 3 And the 2023 film is set up.
Levy has been working closely with Netflix since 2016. He is an executive producer Foreign things And has staged some episodes of the series. He also led The Adam project for the streamer in 2022. It is not surprising that he could help bring this new one D&D Series for Netflix, taking into account his earlier work with the company. And it feels like a perfect fit when you consider how much Dungeons & Dragons plays a role in Foreign things.
