On Friday, EA released a comprehensive in-depth report on the game’s incredible number of new features and how it aims to create the most realistic college football experience ever, both on and off the field.

The game will also feature an extensive new injury system called Wear and Tear, which will show the specific injury effects of each game and how much it increases a player’s risk of injury. While this is important during games, it’s even more important in modes like Dynasty, where you run an entire college football program and have to take care of your players on a game-by-game basis.

Every stadium and fan base in college football has its own unique rituals, and EA has tried to capture as many of those as possible for the game by licensing certain songs as team walkout music (although not all songs could be saved) and fan traditions like Tennessee’s White-Out. All of this serves not only to recreate the authentic highs of a college home game, but also to reinforce the game’s new emphasis on home-field advantage, since the incredibly loud stadiums make it harder for the away team to focus on things like calling hot routes.
