With the gift of magic, wizards can set things on fire, freeze their enemies, and create wondrous displays of the deadly effects of lightning. Really reminds me of my teenage years. This makes the Sorcerer incredibly fun to play and very versatile thanks to its many direct damage, area of effect, and healing options.
With that in mind, here are three powerful but straightforward builds for the wizard with the Frost, Fire, and Lightning specializations.
Frost Wizard Build: Levels 1-15
Start with Frostbolt, Empowered Frostbolt, and Flickering Frostbolt. The flickering makes frozen enemies vulnerable for 3 seconds. A universal truth in almost every caster build (and probably every class too) is that the more enemies you can put in Vulnerable status, the better it is.
nextup, Grab ice shards, upgraded ice shards, and large ice shards. Large ice shards help us plan the next upgrade in advance. Select Ice Armor, Reinforced Ice Armor, and Mystical Ice Armor.. Here we try to use as many opportunities as possible to freeze enemies and make them vulnerable. After Ice Armor Get Frost Nova, Enhanced Frost Nova, and Mystical Frost Nova
Once you reach level 15, accept the quest “Legacy of the Mages” which will automatically appear in your quest log. With that done, it’s time to start building to 50 by acquiring additional skills and strengthening existing ones.
Fire Wizard Build: Levels 1-15
For our fire magician, Start with Firebolt, Enhanced Firebolt, and Glinting Firebolt. (Sparkling Firebolt is a better choice here, as it will cause you to deal more damage over time.) You’ll find that Fire builds benefit greatly from abilities with the Burn keyword. after firebolt, Grab the Fireball, Enhanced Fireball, and Destructive Fireball. Because it’s so useful Grab Teleport and Enhanced Teleport next. Unlock the Flame Shield, Enhanced Flame Shield, and Mystic Flame Shield. You should too Take the glass cannon.
Keep investing in previously unlocked skills until you reach level 15 for the Wizard class quest “Legacy of Wizards”. Now it’s time to aim for level 50, unlocking additional skills while continuing to invest in existing ones.
Lightning Wizard Build: Levels 1-15
For a Lightning-focused build: Start with Arc Lash, Enhanced Arc Lash and Flickering Arc Lash
Complete the Wizard class quest “Legacy of Mages” which unlocks at level 15, then progress to level 50 by unfolding current abilities and unlocking new ones.
Frost Wizard Build: Level 16-50
When you reach level 50 as a Frost Wizard, you should consider the following skills:
- Ice Blades > Improved Ice Blades > Summoned Ice Blades
- Frozen Orb > Improved Frozen Orb, Large Frozen Orb
- Align the Elements > Mana Shield and Protection
- Icy Shroud > Cold Front and Sudden Frost
- Blizzard > Advanced Blizzard > Wizard Blizzard
- Permafrost > Frosty Touch > Cold Breeze
- Deep Freeze > Prime Deep Freeze > Supreme Deep Freeze
- avalanche
Upgrade as many of these as possible and prioritize anything that increases your ability to deal more damage to vulnerable enemies, such as: B. Ice Blades.
Fire Wizard Build: Level 16-50
Ahead of level 50, consider these skills:
- devastation
- Hydra > Enhanced Hydra > Summoned Hydra
- Firewall > Advanced Firewall > Mage’s Firewall
- Meteor > Improved Meteor > Wizard’s Meteor
- Align the Elements > Mana Shield and Protection
- Inner Flames > Devouring Flame and Crippling Flames
- Inferno > Prime Inferno > Supreme Inferno
- Fiery Surge > Endless Pyre > Warmth
- Esu’s wildness
Increase this as needed. Once you’ve acquired all the skills you feel you need, start investing in the AoE and healing skills you use most often.
Lightning Wizard Build: Levels 16-50
As you level up your Lightning Wizard to level 50, consider the following skills:
- Charged Bolts > Improved Charged Bolts > Destructive Charged Bolts
- Devastation > Elemental Dominance
- Improved Ice Armor > Mystic Ice Armor
- Enhanced Frost Nova > Mystic Frost Nova
- Static Discharge > Shocking effect
- Unstable Flows > Primary Unstable Flows > Highest Unstable Flows
- Flowing currents > conduction > spasms
- Vyr’s Championship
Feel free to experiment with skills from different elements for the Blitz build, especially ones that stun or freeze enemies in place, making it even easier to fire Blitzes at them.
These elemental specializations only scratch the surface of caster building possibilities, but they will help you get a sense of the many different arcane arts available to the class. As the hybrid aspects of the Lightning build demonstrate, combining different elements can lead to even more destructive possibilities.
