One of The best games of the last decade gets even better and free for everyone who already owns it. CD Projekt Red finally revealed everything that will be included The Witcher 3′s new generation upgrade and even showed a bit of it in action with a new trailer. The long wait for the X/S versions of the PS5 and Xbox series definitely seems to have been worth it, and fans are already meticulously searching for granular improvements to shadows, reflections and foliage.

- Haptic feedback on PS5

- Option to despawn the minimap on horseback or in battle
- Bigger fonts for subtitles

- Optional Netflix-style soldier costumes from Ciri, Yen, Tris, Dandelion, and Nilfgaard (lol)
- Other, more detailed graphics options, updates and bug fixes
Fans have already started brooded over above trailer aired during the live stream for clues as to what the improved version will look like. Along with shinier surfaces in the rain and stronger contrasts between reflections and shadows, the world as a whole just looks a bit sharper and more detailed and in some ways closer to the world The witcher 3The stunning E3 reveals which players were marveled at back in 2013.

I’m not one to comb through short clips and screenshots and count the extra pixels in a puddle, but rather with The witcher 3, I get it. Despite impressive games like Spirit of Tsushima, Assassin’s Creed Valhallaand Horizon forbidden westit still remains my personal standard bearer for world-building, storytelling, and immersive exploration in an open-world role-playing game. I’ve already spent a hundred hours on the game in the base campaign and two excellent expansions, and I’m willing to spend a hundred more. I can already feel the wind howling.
