The next expansion for Final Fantasy 14th, EndwalkerThe expansion was revealed on Friday night in a showcase stream detailing what gamers can look forward to in the new add-on.
We have compiled all of the major announcements about the game below so you can read them easily.
Level your characters to 90
As expected from a new expansion, Final Fantasy 14 Players will be able to get their characters up to 90, from the current cap of 80. It is not known if this includes Blue Mage, but seeing how this job just raised its cap to 70 is it likely that blue magicians may meet during the 90’s Endwalker Patch cycle.
Unlock a new healer job, Sage
The next healer job, Sage, is a new creation for Final Fantasy 14th and it uses weapons called nouliths. Nouliths fire beams of energy and help you shield your allies, meaning Sage sits next to Scholar as a shield-based healer. To compensate for this, the astrologer job is being changed to be more directly focused on healing.
In order to unlock Sage, players must speak to an NPC in Limsa Lominsa and the job will be unlocked at level 70. You also need another job at 70 to unlock Sage.
The second new job will be a melee DPS
Although not fully revealed, the developers confirmed that the second new job for the expansion would be a melee DPS. Producer Naoki Yoshida, who often wears shirts on streams that suggest what the addition might be, wore shirts with skeletons and grim reapers.
The players speculate that the new job could be an original concept for a scythe Final Fantasy 14 or maybe a necromancer who summons corpses to do melee DPS.
Explore new areas including Thavnair and the Garlean Empire
After learning about Thavnair Island through the onions and outfits, we can finally visit the area. Both Thavnair and the Garlean Empire have been mentioned countless times Final Fantasy 14, but for the first time we can visit both of them. In Thavnair is Radz-at-Han, one of the capitals of the USA Endwalker Extension.

Radz-at-Han will be the smaller of the two capitals. We’ll probably have to go there to swap gear, but there won’t be a market board there.
Yes, we’ll go to the moon too, but Square Enix hasn’t revealed any information about what’s up there.
Take care of land on an island sanctuary
Players can take care of animals and land in an island sanctuary. Not too much has been explained about this feature, but it is intended to give players a break from non-stop fighting and allow them to live a peaceful life.
Ishgard Housing is finally coming
Now that the players have worked hard to rebuild the firmament in Ishgard, they can buy apartments there. Although the new residential departments are immediately visible in patch 6.0, lots cannot be purchased until 6.1.
Estonia becomes a Trust NPC
Estonia, everyone’s favorite smelly dragoons, joins the trust system. You can now select him as an NPC to clear dungeons and fill in the coveted melee DPS slot. Together we can kill Estonia with our AOEs.
Pandaemonium is the next tier of raids

Not too much information has been shown about Pandaemonium, but we do know that it has something to do with the Ascian Lahabrea. The name serves as a reference for things of both Final Fantasy 2 and Final Fantasy 9Hence, players have already started to speculate on 3 what could happen at this stage.
The Dragon Song War (Ultimate) comes in patch 6.1
Technically, this is only half related Endwalker. The next Ultimate fight based on The Dragonsong War should come into play in patch 5.55. Because of the complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was launched in patch 6.1 instead. We’re not sure if that means that Endwalker will have three ultimate fights, but get ready to probably take on Thordan and Nidhogg (again) in 6.1.
The newest tribe is an elephant-inspired group called the Matanga
The first tribe for which it was revealed Endwalker is the Arkasodara tribe of Matanga, elephant-like people. The developers did not explain what kind of tribal quests they would focus on, but look forward to helping them and receiving some cute rewards.
Belts are removed
Belts are removed as they have no aesthetic purpose. The inventory slots that belts take up are split between rings and weapons, with five additional slots saved for other purposes. (You didn’t specify what the other use is.)
As soon as 6.0 starts, all players will find themselves without a belt, but the Calamity Salvager will hold them in place if you need to remove materia or if you want to desynthesize them.
Anima that Final Fantasy 10 Boss, join the game as a prehistoric man

The stream showed us one of the new attempts of Endwalker, namely anima off Final Fantasy 10, who is added to the game as a prehistoric man. Not much other information was explained.
Statistics are squeezed
Simply put, numbers in Final Fantasy 14 get way too big. They get so high that they break the system a bit. To fix this, Square Enix is squeezing the stats gains from level 50. Things will mostly feel the same, although it can be a little harder not to sync older content.
Players can travel to other data centers
Finally, gamers can hang out with their friends in various data centers. This system is still being worked on, but the developers said that players would have to log back into the game in order to switch data centers.
Final Fantasy 14Patch 5.5 will be released on April 13th along with a PlayStation 5 beta. Endwalker will be published in autumn 2021, further information on the expansion will follow in May.
