Werewolves will start sneaking around Fourteen days when Tuesday’s Fortnitemare event begins in-game. Epic Games originally announced the launch date for October 1st, but now we’re finally there privy to the details: Fourteen days Players can transform into werewolves.
The big attraction of the event will be the new werewolf skills that will be “awarded”. Fourteen days Players when they visit Reality Tree Alterations; There is an emote there, Ritual Emote, that offers Howler Claws that unlock new werewolf abilities.

wolf scent ability
Howl with equipped Howler Claws to activate the Wolf Scent ability, which lasts for a limited time before going on cooldown. The Wolfscent ability gives you pursuit vision and repeatedly marks enemies in a nearby radius. If there are no enemies in the radius, the Wolfscent ability will immediately go on cooldown.
(Are you being stalked by tracking vision? Your sixth sense will inform you with an audible heartbeat that gets louder and louder as your hunter approaches…)
slash ability
Of course, if you equip the Howler’s Claws, you’ll get… Claws. But those claws are more than just really sharp fingernails. Show no restraint with the Slash ability and perform a four combo melee attack.
Air Slash ability
Your claws make it possible for you Air slash too. Perform a double jump with the Air Slash ability that damages enemies on landing.
As part of the Fortnitemare event, Epic is also opening a limited-time mode called Zero Build Horde Rush. Horde Rush is the cooperative in which players have to eliminate a series of AI enemies. Zero build simply means there is no building – one of those Fourteen days
Fortnitemares will also feature new XP quests – things like the emote ritual at the aforementioned altars, visiting certain spooky locations, and using items like candy. According to Epic, two Fortnitemare quests will be available during the 14-day event. Here’s what you need to do to unlock the new rewards:
- All End Glider – Complete five Fortnitemares quests
- Chrome Cage Back Bling – Complete 13 Fortnitemares quests
- Destroyer Pickaxe – Complete 25 Fortnitemares quests
