Spirit of Tsushiuma: Legends, the multiplayer add-on following the release of Sucker Punch Productions 2020 open world adventure, will be available as a standalone product starting August 20th of the same day Spirit of Tsushima Director’s Cut appears for PlayStation 5 and PS4.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be available on both consoles from the PlayStation Store for $ 19.99. This patch is free for all owners of the base game Spirit of Tsushima or who is buying Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut or Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
On 3rd September, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will get a new mode called Rivals, in which two teams of two players compete against each other in a horde mode format. The goal is to wipe out more enemies and progress through more levels than the other team, but players can spend magatama (the world’s currency) to get perks, curses, and other pickups to thwart their rivals’ progress. Spend enough and the Final Stand waves will begin. Finish these waves before the other team and you win the match.
In addition to rivals, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will get a Gear Mastery system that will be expanded Legends” Progression system beyond the current 110 levels. Players with gear that top 110 will now be able to tie them to a Legend class and activate Championship Challenges that, upon completion, will increase their Ki level to 120. Championship Challenges will also unlock a new skill and new technique for each class and, when completed, players will be able to add a second perk to their loadout.
The new Rivals mode and all additional content are available for those who already have the standard Spirit of Tsushima Game for PlayStation 4. (Just to be clear, you get all that stuff too Director’s Cut also on both platforms.) Sucker Punch says that as of September 10th Ghost of Tsushima: Legends also receive four free weekly content updates. This includes another Rivals map, new survival maps and a new version of last year’s raid, Trials of Iyo, which increases the level of difficulty but “offers challenges in bite-sized chunks”. The new raid will also have a new leaderboard.
