We wrote about the mod NaturalVision for Yearsalmost as long as Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC and every time we revisit the project it never ceases to amaze.
Originally a mod developed to tweak the game’s graphics a bit for more demanding PC users, NaturalVisi on was remastered back in 2017 to become NaturalVision Remastered
Back then, I was pretty impressed with cars with more detail and fancier lighting. Now… now my socks are blown clean. This trailer, released earlier today, is not only a fantastic showcase of everything the mod now offers, but helpfully stops at a few points and provides head-to-head comparisons with the vanilla game to show you just how far along and deeply run some of these modifications.
The sparkling graphics are of course the first and biggest thing on display here, from the lighting effects to the increased texture sizes everything is absolutely amazing. But I also love some of the things that might not be obvious when you play the game, but are still a really nice touch. Like parallax interiors for buildings, meaning that if you walk past or fly over a building if you can see into its windows, those interiors will change perspective to match yours.
The fully animated signs also really make the game come alive, especially at night, while changes have also been made to the game’s weather, environmental color palette, ground textures, and vegetation “to blur the line between fantasy and reality.”
If you want to download the Early Access version of the mod in its current form, you can download it from Razed’s Patreon page, the leader of the development of the mod. Also credit where credit is due Denis “IceVip” Sitarskiwho put together this very stylish trailer.
