Since its release at the end of 2023, that is Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer has become one of the biggest and most viewed video game advertisements in history. And now a YouTuber has recreated scenes from the trailer in Miami (the game is set in a fictional version of the Florida city) to create one of the most impressive side-by-side comparisons I’ve ever seen.
In December 2023, after a leakRockstar Games has released the highly anticipated trailer GTA 6. Its impressive graphics and the decades-long wait for even a few new game news helped it skyrocket up the charts. Setting records on the go and helping the late Tom Petty do the same. Since then, fans have had no choice but to endlessly watch the trailer and delve into every possible detail. Someone even figured out what The SPF of an NPC sunscreen is based on science. Now a YouTuber has flown all the way to Miami – the real inspiration behind it GTA 6“s Vice City” – to recreate the popular trailer.
As discovered by PCGamerIn a recently uploaded video, French YouTuber CyrilMP4 and some friends got on a plane and traveled to Miami, Florida to walk the streets of the real Vice City. He recreated moments from the announcement trailer as he explored the city and pointed out the landmarks and areas featured in the new trailer GTA 6 Trailer and the original GTA Vice City.
The most impressive part of this entire journey and production was when CyrilMP4 cut together some of the recreated scenes and placed them side by side GTA 6
Here you can see not only how good CyrilMP4 is at matching shots, but also how close Rockstar has come to perfectly replicating a real-world location with this latest virtual city. Compare it with San Andreas or even Liberty City in GTA IV And it’s clear that this is a huge step forward in aligning as many details as possible. The video includes tags that explain when something is real and when it’s the game, and sometimes I needed those tags to actually tell the difference. Wow.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to appear on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. There are currently no official plans for a PC port. But it will probably show up there…eventually.
