WhenglorioleWhen the second season ended last March, Master Chief’s journey seemed to be just beginning, as he had only just entered the Ringworld after which the series is named. But gloriole Fans won’t get a chance to see what happens next – at least not on Paramount Plus, which announced on July 18 that it would not continue with a third season. That makes sense: After a tumultuous season of battling the USNC, it’s hard to say if more gloriole whether it would really be worth it or not.

Here’s everything we know about the future of the former Paramount Plus. gloriole TV show and whether there is hope for it with a future new streamer.

Will there be a third season of Halo?

No, at least not on the native broadcaster Paramount Plus. On July 18, Paramount Plus announced that the show had been canceled.

“Paramount+ can confirm that ‘Halo’ will not continue with a third season on the service,” said the streamer said in a statement“We are extremely proud of this ambitious series and would like to thank our partners at Xbox, 343 Industries and Amblin Television, as well as showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, his colleagues, the entire cast led by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief and the amazing crew for their outstanding work. We wish everyone the best for the future.”

According to Variety’s reportXbox, Amblin TV and 343 Industries are reportedly trying to pitch the show to a new network. Which makes sense, since the creative team had more in mind for the show. In an interview with Collider, executive producer Kiki Wolfkill said the team wrote the series “with a long-term perspective in mind” and that there are already plans for the story beyond the second season. Meanwhile, new season 2 showrunner David Wiener told Collider that he approached the second season trying to leave some doors open for the future as well.

“I hope we get the chance to do more,” said Wiener. “That is our intention.”

Who would return for a reboot of Halo season 3?

Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief seems a given, as does Jen Taylor as Cortana. The show also seems pretty determined to stick to Makee’s storyline, so Charlie Murphy will likely return as well. As for the rest of the cast, the show seems pretty focused on the action surrounding Halo — finally — so it’s hard to say who else might join. And with some members of the rest of the team surviving as well, like Bokeem Woodbine’s Soren and Yerin Has Kwan, we’ll probably have a few more stories outside of Chief to look out for as well.

What would Season 3 of Halo have been about?

The end of gloriole Season 2 suggests that Season 3 would finally be about Halo, which would be pretty exciting. The series basically came up with a slightly different version of the premise of the first game, including the Flood, so we can expect something similar to the story in. Fight developed, where Master Chief explores the ring, learns its true purpose, and then has to escape.

Where do I go if I want to experience the really crazy Halo lore?

Tell people to read Halo novels is a bit like telling them to read the later books in the Dune series, and I’m already officially signed up for that one, so you can bet I’ll have Halo recommendations too. Greg Bear’s Forerunner saga is a trilogy of books set about 100,000 years before humans and the Covenant meet, and it contains some of the best and weirdest storytelling Halo has to offer. We learn all about the Forerunners and the Flood, as well as bits and pieces of the history of ancient humanity, a spacefaring civilization that nearly wiped out the Forerunners long before Master Chief was even born.
