Hawk Tuah Girl starts podcast with Jake Paul

Haliey Welch, better known on the internet as “Hawk Tuah Girl”, is launching a podcast called Talk about happiness on beta sports betting and media company owned by Jake Paul.

In June 2024, a video was posted in which Welch was asked, “What move in bed drives a man crazy every time?” Her response: “You have to give them the ‘Hawk Tuah’ and spit on the thing.” went viral online and quickly became a popular meme. It also led to a lot of discourse, backlash, discourse about the backlash, more backlash about all the discourse, and eventually meta-commentary about the entire situation. You know, the usual three-week cycle that viral memes have these days. But Welch isn’t done with her five minutes of internet fame and will now host a podcast.

On September 3, Betr announced that there was a partnership with Welch to launch a Hawk Tauh Girl PodcastHappiness talkand that the first episode would air on September 10th.

Luck Talk / Betr

Betr is a major sports betting and gaming media company co-founded by Jake Paul, a famous internet personality, boxer and brother of Logan Paul. His Wikipedia page also has a long section on all the various controversies he has been involved in over the yearsas is standard for mega-popular content creators these days.

Anyway, Paul and Betr have signed Welch to a contract and will be hosting their podcast, which will feature weekly episodes where the Hawk Tuah girl interviews celebrities. The first episode will feature comedian Whitney Cummings and Jake Paul himself as guests.

“You guys always asked, ‘What’s next?’ Well, this is it!” Welch said in a press release announcing the show. “I’m so grateful to have my own podcast where you can discover the real Haliey Welch. My show will have a little bit of everything – great guests, laughs, chatting about your pets, relationship advice, sports and of course, some down-to-earth Southern charm.”

Apparently, the podcast may feature someone nicknamed “Pookie,” a mysterious man who has been theorized online, and some believe…
