When it goes like one Gold eye, speaks like a Gold eyeand quacks like a Gold eye, It is a Gold eye, Law? Well, not always. It could also be a Far cry. Case in point: This replica of GoldenEye 007 in the Far Cry 5‘s level editor.
A YouTuber known as Krollywood, an intrepid fan of both games, has worked meticulously GoldenEye 007, the 1997 N64 first-person shooter, inside Far Cry 5, the multiplatform first person shooter 2018. The process took about 1,400 hours over almost three years, said Krollywood Kotaku
Although there are level editors in many games, Krollywood prefers Far Cry 5Thanks to its ease of use and the sheer number of objects that are available to you. It also includes things from games like Assassin’s Creed and Watchdog. “That enables a great variety of levels and styles.”

Last week, Ubisoft announced that the next entry in the open world shooter franchise, Far Cry 6, would be available on October 6th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC and Stadia. (The release was originally scheduled for this February, but Ubisoft delayed last fall, citing production challenges at work during the Covid-19 pandemic.) In a recent Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Ubisoft’s Alexandre Letendre reported said The Far Cry 6 won’t have a level editor.
But Far Cry 5 still exists, and this level editor isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Does krollywood have any other? Far Cry 5 Creations in the pipeline?
“Not at the moment,” said Krollywood Kotaku in a direct message. “I want to play other games too!”
