Hogwarts legacy, The open-world RPG set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter will have a PlayStation-exclusive quest when it releases in February, and it looks more like a classic horror show video game than the kind of thrills the franchise typically offers offers offers.
The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop is the quest, and it looks like the titular shop is up for sale after some pretty unfortunate supernatural events. There are creepy mannequins, cackling malevolent wizards, an additional dungeon, an array of in-game cosmetics, and it looks like players will unlock the store themselves once they complete the questline.
“Cassandra Mason has a shop in Hogsmeade to sell, but all is not as it seems in this run-down place,” WB Games Avalanche wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “What dark secrets lie beneath Madam Mason’s shop and why was she so keen to sell it? This is a mystery that Hogwarts Legacy players will uncover in the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest, available exclusively on PlayStation platforms.

Originally slated for a 2022 holiday launch, Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. pushed Hogwarts legacy until February 10, 2023 to give the developers “a little more time to deliver the best possible gaming experience”. Hogwarts legacy will also launch on Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. The Nintendo Switch version of the game doesn’t have a release date yet.
