How to play Resident Evil 2 Remake in VR for free

2019 Resident Evil 2 Remake was fantasticwho mixes the third-person action and combat from Resident 4, with the horrors and images of Resident Evil 7. But now, thanks to an awesome looking fan mod, you can revisit that survival horror glow in virtual reality that sounds both exciting and very scary.

First discovered by UploadVR in August 2021, this VR mod for RE2 / RE3 has hyped many virtual reality enthusiasts for months. And now both a mod for RE2 and RE3 was uploaded to GitHubso that anyone who owns a copy of one of the two survival horror games can immerse themselves in Raccoon City in a whole new way.

The reason so many VR fans got excited about this mod was because of the sheer amount of work that the mod’s creator, Prayer dog, got involved in the project. Weapons like the knife have full 3D collision so players can swing and stab enemies with natural movement. The mod also fully supports motion controls, so you can quickly take out zombies or grapple in total fear while a licker takes you by surprise from a dark shadow that you haven’t checked.

With the mod, players can also see everything RE2 and RE3s Cutscenes in 3D, although UploadVR warns This could break up some scenes as you can see things that you should never see.

The quality of this VR mod is even more impressive when you remember the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 were third-person shooters, i.e. first-person real-time motion conBringing trolls into play wasn’t easy. However, Betedog did an excellent job based on Footage of the mod shared by Leadergamer1.

With these mods and the official one Resident Evil 4 Occulus Quest 2-Port was released last year, plus the ability to play RE7 With PSVR you can get a huge chunk of the resident Evil franchise in virtual reality. (If you’re brave enough.)

Now I’m just waiting for Capcom to add VR support Resident Evil Village. And to bring PC VR support RE7, also.
