The Selunite Outpost contains a tricky puzzle Baldur’s Gate 3.
Shortly after Goblin camp – where you can complete the quests “Ask the Goblin Priestess for Help” and “Save the Druid Halsin”. – You can go to the Underdark once you solve a puzzle in the Defiled Temple. Behind the door and down a long ladder you will find the Selunite Outpost. The problem is that the exit is guarded by two statues that fire radiation damage.
Our Baldur’s Gate 3 The guide will explain it to you how to solve the Selunite Outpost puzzle This way you can get past the two statues and continue exploring the Underdark.
Exploring the Selunite Outpost in BG3
Make sure you have someone with high dexterity – especially high dexterity – and preferably some thieves’ tools in your party. On the way to the statues there are several locked doors and chests with crates that you can grab, and the main gate of the Selunite Temple is also locked. If you want to head out, just make sure someone has a ranged attack – either a ranged weapon or a spell.
Solunite Outpost statue puzzle solution in BG3
At the northern end of the Selunite Outpost you’ll find a locked portcullis and a glowing statue nearby. There are two statues in front of the door. As you poke around, a Minotaur will appear to show you how deadly the statues are. They will fire lightning bolts Moonlight artillery that deal radiation damage to everything within range. Instead of trying your luck against them, it’s better – and very easy – to disable them completely.

Have someone in your group run up the stairs on either side of the exit. This gives you a better camera angle to aim at Moonstone at the head of the staff held by the statue in the outpost. Fire a ranged attack at the moonstone itself – it’s easy to hit since it’s an inanimate object and only has 1 hit point.
Once disabled, you must pass a DC 20 Dexterity check to unlock the portcullis. Once unlocked, you can continue exploring the Underdark to find the Adamantine Forge, the Arcane Tower, and a series of lit (or unlit) tunnels that live up to the name of this vast cave system.
