How to unlock the Gold Saucer in FFXIV

The Manderville Gold Saucer is home to many mini-games and fun rewards Final Fantasy 14and you can unlock it fairly early in your adventure in Eorzea.

There’s a lot to do in the Gold Saucer, from racing against chocobos to attending fashion shows to dodging the smelly and powerful breath of a Typhon in a mini-game. Below we explain where to start the side quest that unlocks the Gold Saucer FFXIVas well as some of the things you can do there.

How to unlock the Gold Saucer in FFXIV

To unlock the Gold Saucer you must be able to travel outside of your original city. This will unlock once you complete the main scenario quest.The Gridanian/Ul’dahn/Lominsan Envoy

” (depending on where you started) at level 15. Once you do this, you can talk to the Well-heeled youth NPC in Ul’dah, Steps of Nald, at the following location:

It’s right in front of the entrance to Ul’dah Aetheryte Plaza, so you shouldn’t have any problems finding it.

Once you’ve completed this quest and tuned in to the Aetheryte in the Gold Saucer, you can teleport there whenever you want.

What to do in FFXIV Gold Saucer?

The Gold Saucer hosts many mini-games that reward a specific currency Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP). With MGP you can purchase special mounts, minions, outfit pieces, orchestras, furnishings, weapon glamor – the list goes on. Other than that, a visit to Gold Saucer is a great way to kill time and pick up some cute things.

If you visit the Gold Saucer, be sure to look for a limited time Gold Saucer Active Time Events (GATEs) to earn MGP quickly. These mini-games may be about guessing where a boss might attack and doing your best to avoid them, or perhaps it’s a jumping puzzle on the Leap of Faith maps.

There is also a daily and weekly lottery system called Cactus pot. You can play at the mini cactpot at the entrance plaza every day and select numbers for the weekly cactpot at the event plaza.

There are also Triple triadthe card-based mini-game from Final Fantasy 8that you can play with different NPCs on the course. In particular, you can sell your additional Triple Triad cards for more MGP in Card Square.

The most lucrative of all games is Fashion Report, which can allow you to earn up to 60,000 MGP per week just for equipping certain pieces of armor. Dedicated fashionista Kaiyoko Star publishes the simplest solutions weeklyso you can pocket that MGP.

But that’s just the stuff that makes you money. There are tons of other mini-games, like Chocobo Racing and Doman Mahjong. (FFXIV‘s Mahjong is a really good online version of the tile-laying game. Honestly, it’s one of the best ways to play Mahjong online.)
