On the surface, this revelation shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Black has a YouTube channel called Black Jablinski games where he and his brood occasionally play video games. On April 3, Illumination released a heavily edited YouTube video that pitted Black, Chris Pratt (Mario), Charlie Day (Luigi), and Seth Rogen (Donkey Kong). Mario Kart. While the rest of his castmates played their respective characters, Black went the galactic route by choosing Toadette. For casual gamers, this might seem like an odd choice.

The rule of black as king of Mario Kart quickly came to an end when prolific YouTuber Jacksepticeye traded places with Pratt and mercilessly defeated the Hollywood actors in his own YouTube video. The biggest takeaway from the Mario film cast Mario Kart Gaming sessions weren’t their gaps in skills, but how they talked about gaming as a hobby.
Jack Black wore them Mario Cast of the film while really having fun
Contrary to Black, who admits to playing video games frequently on his personal YouTube channel, and his general attitude that having fun is more important than winning, Black’s castmates either spoke about playing in the past tense. And the memories weren’t always positive.
For example, at the beginning of the video, Rogen jokingly said he spent most of high school not making friends and playing Mario Kart Instead, he likened Illuminations’ “Four Player Showdown” to “being in his friend’s mom’s basement and hearing his parents arguing upstairs.”
During the Mario Movie’s Pressers, Black has fully embraced the gaming culture keeps disguising himself as Bowser.
“I play occasionally,” Black said roughly Mario Kart. “I really enjoy my video games.”

Granted he lost me a bit there in the last half but I fuck with it. I just pray that whatever energy Black has in reserve continues to be put to good use because at the end of the day it’s Jack Black’s world and we’re all fortunate to exist by his side.
