Published in 2017 by Ubisoft Paris, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was a Switch game that absolutely shouldn’t have worked so well on paper. While the outside was goofy and colorful, hiding underneath was a really addicting game of tactics. Better still, it was smart and understood its source material and often made fun of it Super Mario Characters in an extremely apt way. But Rabbids wasn’t just one XCOM Clone with a different skin. When I had finished Kingdom battle, in the end I liked Ubisofts Rabbid Parody of the most important Mario characters more than the originals themselves. Maybe the sequel will let you throw the boring old Mario out of the party?

Based on the Nintendo website, the sequel should work similarly to the first game, but this time it teases a list of nine characters. Hopefully we’ll see a Rabbid version of Waluigi or something.
