I’ve played a lot Rise of the Monster Hunters, and I’m far enough to get a craving for a little more variety in my carvings. But when I think of new creatures I’d most like to hunt, I hit a block.
There are dozens of big bosses in video games that fit nicely into the Monster Hunter franchise, like Bowser or Ultros. Even the cinema has lots of great, big, creepy beasts that seem ripe for the hunt, like the Rancor or the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. But none of them are entirely right, and I’ve finally found out why.
Rise of the Monster HuntersThe Big Blowout Battles seem like normal boss fights, like any other game – but they’re fundamentally different. In fact, I dare say that these are not boss fights at all.
Hence, the only beast that fits into the game’s fighting structure is Pennywise the Clown from Stephen Kings King It.
