Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

have another new trailer during Capcom’s E3 livestream, ahead of the game’s launch on Nintendo Switch on July 9th. This is the game’s second trailer last week, with the livestream being available to players to kick off the Summer Game Fest a short story trailer. Capcom’s new trailer features a lot of new gameplay, including the older dragons Teostra and Kushala Daora.

During the livestream, Capcom announced that the Palamute from Rise of the Monster Hunters appears as a controllable monstia in Wing of the ruin

‘s first title update.

Wing of the ruin tells a new story and begins with all of the Rathalos disappearing from the world. But the player character, the grandson of a famous hunter named Red, receives a mysterious egg. When the egg finally hatches, a flightless Rathalos jumps out with razor-sharp hands instead of wings and leads players to unravel the new mystery.

Monster hunter Stories 2: Wings of Doom is the continuation of the original Monster Hunter stories, which debuted on Nintendo 3DS in 2017. Capcom then ported the original game to mobile devices, with the translated version released in 2018.

The Stories series features the same creatures from the core Monster Hunter games, but instead of hunting them down, the game takes a more humane approach. Hunters tame monsters, ride them around the world and use them to fight other monsters. Think: the Pokémon games, but with a Rathalos instead of a Pikachu.
