The latest episode in Netflix is growing witcher franchise, The Witcher: Origin of the BloodIt was recently released to a loud “meh” from critics. But the fan response is even worse, as the four-episode limited series has a dismal eight-percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The low scores are a result of a few different factors related to the show, the original books, and former Superman actor Henry Cavill.

Over on the movie review collection site Rotten tomatoes, origin of the blood Sport an approval rating of 36 percent among critics and an even worse approval rating of eight percent among fans (h/d forbes). While the critic rating is poor placing it under some of the lowest rated original shows With Netflix, it’s the historically low 8 percent viewership that’s really wild.
Of course, it should be noted that some fans are bombarding the series with criticism for various reasons. Some are angry supporters of Henry Cavill still angry about his Exit at the end of October from the main show. others are witcher Fans who remain frustrated with Netflix’s handling of the original source material in its witcher

With all of this in mind, my reading is that this isn’t just another case of a property being bombarded with reviews by chuds, just a really bad show that’s even persistent witcher Fans don’t enjoy it. Reading fan reviews, many complain about the shoddy CGI, boring pacing, boring writing style, and an overall lack of direction. This also reflects similar complaints from critics. This can’t be a good thing for Netflix, and doesn’t bode well for the future of its monster-slaying franchise in a post-Henry Cavill witcherVerse.
