Almost as long as Bethesda made large RPGs with open world, there were committed modder that optimized, updated and improved these games. So it's a bit strange that Bethesda's Recently published Remaster by The Elder Scrolls IV: forgotten Does not officially support Modding.
On April 22, after years of rumors, leaks and reports, Bethesda officially revealed the worst secret of Gaming: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. The remaster of 50 US dollars was started on the same day and was announced in the Xbox series X/S, in Game Pass, PS5 and PC. The Remastered RPG offers improved graphics, new gameplay options and a long list of changes in the quality of life. But it is still a Bethesda game, which means that you can probably expect mistakes, shaky elements and a general roughness and craziness. Usually this stuff is remedied shortly after the release of Modder, and Bethesda supports these efforts with official tools. This is not the case this time.
Like from Games radar shortly thereafter Oblivion's Remaster was started Bethesda's official support page For the game, the company says that the game does not support the mods.
“Mods are not supported for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. “
If you now know something about modder, you probably know that almost every PC game will get some mods at some point, and I doubt Oblivion Remastered will be different. This time Bethesda does not offer official modding tools for players or not this time Provision of a pipeline with which modder can use to bring your creations to other platformsPresent Something that Bethesda did for Fallout 4 And Starfield.
Bethesda seems to understand that modder will do her thing and find ways to mode oblivionEven without tools or the company's official blessing. So it contained this message in its oblivion Remastered Support page:
“If you have problems with mods when playing with mods, it is recommended to uninstall your mods first and check your game files on Steam or the Xbox app.”
I am not sure why Bethesda Mods does not support this time. Perhaps the fact that this remaster uses unreal and old Bethesda tech has made it too technically difficult to create a modding kit for creators? Or may it plan to add the mod support later, but would like to make sure that the game is in a solid state after starting? I don't know. But for the time being modding The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Remastered will be more difficult than with previous Bethesda titles.
