Oink Games, maker of charming little board games, is bringing its unique catalog to Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made on Friday on twitter.

I had only really directed Oink a few years ago when our Clayton Ashley returned with us from Japan A fake artist goes to New York. It’s a great little mashup of Pictionary and a hidden role-playing game like werewolf or Secret Hitler. The folks on Polygon’s overboard team certainly had a good time, as did Polygon’s YouTube audience. The session generated more than a million views on YouTube. Since then I’ve also had the opportunity to play Oink’s Nine tiles panic, a fun little objective puzzle game with a strong art style.

Read through Oink’s Online storefrontThere are some small bites that I really want to try. Lots of them like Lunar adventureare cooperative games with high quality pieces of wood. They also seem to bridge the gap between modern game mechanics and viable party games. Hi I is a card game about creating rap texts on the fly Durian puts players in the shoes of entrepreneurial primates and like everything else in the catalog, they both have warm colors and bold graphic design.

I’ve had a Nintendo Switch for a while now and I’m always looking for fun new experiences to take with me on the go. We hope Oink will get things working soon – and that it will make good use of the hybrid console’s touchscreen.

The project is funded by Kickstarterand you can sign up to be reminded when it goes live. No word yet on which titles are likely to be included (although artwork is included Deep sea adventure and Startups makes these titles appear like candidates), but the game has a title: Oink Games Plus.
