Palworld breeding basics and helpful tools

Capturing and using your Pokémon-like friends isn’t the only thing you can do in the incredibly successful new survival game Palworld. By breeding them, you unlock new abilities, discover new friends, or simply increase your unregulated workforce by creating more paws and claws to suit your desires.

To start, you need to reach level 19, have a pair of sexually dimorphic friends, a breeding farm, some cake, and an egg incubator (just like in real life).

You build your breeding farm like you would any other building Palworld. Once you reach level 19, you can unlock the farm with two points and continue construction with 100 wood, 50 fiber and 20 stone.

To get your breeding farm ready for use, you need to bake a cake with 8 red berries, 8 eggs, 7 milk, 5 flour and 2 honey in a cooking pot or stove. Place the cake in the Breeding Farm chest, then carry two compatible friends who work at your base to the Breeding Farm.

If you follow all these steps, you will see a HUD notice titled “Breeding… Love is blooming between the two friends.”

Once breeding is complete, you will need to place the produced egg into an egg incubator that can be built at level 7. It costs 1 point of ancient technology and requires 30 stone, 10 paladium fragments, 5 cloth and 2 ancient civilization parts to build the incubator. Place the egg in the incubator and wait for it to finish. Incubation can take up to 20 minutes.

Use Kimpton’s Palworld Breeding calculator

Palworld is still fairly new, so people are still discovering its many secrets, including the results of its nearly 20,000 breeding combinations. To simplify the prediction work when mating Pals, be sure to use the calculator below Kimpton’s Palworld Breeding guide. Here you can combine different Pals to see what the offspring will look like and to determine which Pals you will need if you want to produce a particular Pals.

With so many tasks you can assign to your friends, it helps to have more of them. And while you always have the freedom to go into the wild Palworld To find more, sometimes it’s nicer to settle down and start your own little Pal family. Which mates have you bred?
