Don’t you just hate it when a bug you exploited in your favorite video game gets fixed? I do too, and apparently so do I Palworld Player. Developer Pocketpair recently patched a popular feature that turned into a bug Pokémon Clone that allows players to do something they shouldn’t be doing: conquer tower bosses. After fixing the bug, the studio has since apologized and explained that the fix was an “unintentional” mishap caused by the game’s recent update.
To update Version 0.1.5.0 released on February 26th for Steam. (Xbox is have some problems with things like autosaves, so the new patch isn’t on this console yet.) It fixes some specific issues with the game, such as friends getting stuck in the environment, while also fixing more general issues for an overall smoother gaming experience. However, when putting Palworld under a hot iron to get rid of those annoying wrinkles, Pocketpair even “accidentally [fixed]“The Tower Boss collection error,” the company said on Twitter.
You see, it was never intended to cram these big bads into a tiny ball. Tower bosses are, as the name suggests, powerful monsters that live – all Rapunzel-like – deep in various skyscrapers across the Palpagos Islands. There are five of them for you to fight
But now it’s time to alert the water company, because The players were shocked through the fix. “Let’s catch tower bosses:v,” posted a user on twitter. “Oh my god, I apologize for troubleshooting? Now this is something new! Let’s keep these happy little accidents next time, shall we?” tweeted another. “Oh wait… we couldn’t have actually caught them!??” questioned a third tweeter with a crying GIF. People aren’t doing well.
My city Pocketpair has asked for comment.
While it’s a shame that a bug that the community loved so much was removed from the game by Thanos, this may not have any impact PalworldPopularity. The monster collecting survival simulation recently passed the 25 million player markwhich proves that “Pokémon with Guns” was actually something people really wanted.
