As you go through the Palworld In the tutorial you are told to defeat the boss (Zoe and Grizzbolt). Rayne Syndicate Stormbut the game doesn’t offer much guidance other than telling you to prepare for battles.
As you might expect, these towers are the closest things Palworld has to Pokémon Gyms, although they are very different. In it, a timed boss fight takes place against a buddy and his trainer.
Defeating the duo will award you an achievement and five Ancient Technology points, which you can use to learn crafting recipes from the very useful Purple Column. You also get access to the top of the tower, which serves as a nice, high-altitude spot for gliding.
Below we will explain how to dismantle it Zoe and Grizzbolt In Palworld. Remember, we did all of this Solo on NormalSo it may be different depending on whether you run it in multiplayer or on another difficulty level.
How to prepare for the Rayne Syndicate Tower in Palworld
Grizzbolt has just over 30,000 HP and you only have 10 minutes to take it down, meaning you’ll need quite a bit of energy before tackling it. When we entered the tower we were Level 12 and all five of our friends were also level 12.
In particular, Grizzbolt is weak against Ground movements, so take any friends who can use ground moves and upgrade them specifically for this fight. We were able to teach two of our buddies additional ground moves using the ground skill crops we found on the ground, which was very helpful.
If you have friends like Lifmunk or Foxsparks who have active damage abilities (be it Lifmunk’s weapon or Foxparks’ flamethrower), you should consider bringing them along as well, even if they don’t have the type advantage.
Our MVP (highest valued sidekick) was Dinossom, who was able to easily block Grizzbolt’s attacks while dealing a ton of damage.
That is, we also used a bow and about 90 arrows to help our friends deal damage from afar. We were also equipped with Fur armor
With all of this, we were able to defeat Zoe and Grizzbolt with about three minutes to go.
Rayne Syndicate Tower location in Palworld
Once you’re ready, you can find the tower north of the original spawn area. There is a fast travel statue right next to the tower.
How to defeat Zoe and Grizzbolt in Palworld
If you’re prepared by following the suggestions above and are still struggling, we have some tips to help you survive:
- Swap your friends when they are low on HP. You don’t want them to be taken out in battle. When they recover, their HP slowly recovers.
- Make sure you use active damage skills (like Lifmunks or Foxsparks as mentioned above). These help knock down the boss a ton, and Foxsparks’ fire damage over time is particularly nice.
- Keep firing arrows to clear the damage. Headshots from the front deal additional damage.
- When Grizzbolt aims his scope at your buddy, pull it back and wait until the beam isn’t fired at anything before sending your buddy out again.
- When Grizzbolt aims his scope at you, hide behind the pillars in the arena.
- Keep dodging and removing Grizzbolt’s attacks.
- Reorient your friends regularly by calling them back and texting them back. Sometimes Grizzbolt or your friends get stuck behind pillars, so they fire projectile attacks, but they get blocked. This is a huge waste of time, so don’t be afraid to call your buddy back and reorient him so he has a clear view of Grizzbolt. This was probably the most important thing we had to do, as we often found ourselves losing time rather than being hit by Grizzbolt’s attacks.
With all that said, you should be able to defeat Zoe and Grizzbolt without too much trouble. If you’re still having trouble, you might want to go out and catch more friends to level up a bit more and make the fight easier.
