Path of Exile 2 is an action RPG all about customizing your hero, killing tons of enemies, and winning cool gear as a result. But a few days after the game massive early access launchPlayers feel a bit underwhelmed by the pace and size of the loot drops. Path of Exile 2The developers say they agree.

A new update on current feedback A variety of topics are covered about the current state of the game, including the quantity and quality of rewards. “One of the biggest problems players face is the feeling that the game is not rewarding enough,” writes the team at Grinding Gear Games. “In this area we have to be very careful in adjusting because if we increase the losses too much it will be very difficult to reduce them.”

To address these concerns without succumbing to loot inflation, developers are responding in a number of ways. The first is to improve the rewards for rare monsters by increasing the rarity bonus per modifier and the total number of modifiers commonly found on these enemies, especially as players scale up over the course of the game. Similar changes to map mods will also make them more useful for earning better rewards.

A number of currencies are also being improved. Royal Orbs drop rates will be increased by 40 percent, Minor Jeweler Orbs drop rates will be increased by 33 percent, and Gemcutter Prism drop rates will be increased by 500 percent, among other optimizations. But perhaps the most significant change will be the addition of protection against “unfortunate” drops. This means capping unique monster drops so that no more than 50 percent of them are gold, and ensuring that all act and card bosses drop at least 1 rare monster per encounter.

Manufacturing Path of Exile 2 More generous is well-received by players, but the developers are also responding to another big complaint: getting caught by enemies too often. Calls for dodge roll invincibility frames or other means of containing the accumulation of enemies around them have been answered, so to speak. Dodge rolls now allow us to slip through even the smallest gap in a group of enemies, and smaller enemies can now be pushed out of the way while dodging. “This should mean that you are less likely to fall into the trap,” the team writes.

Path of Exile 2 entered Early Access on December 6th and has already done so received some major nerfsbefore the newly announced loot changes.
